iOS Notes from 2021
(writing this on Feb 23, 2023) My sister Umi and I had an impromptu poetry reading at my dad’s ancestral home last week and that activity inspired me to compile the next batch of notes
that I gathered over the years.

I often —
Feel defeated over problems I cannot solve, due to limitations or other underlying factors out of my control.
I feel defeated not knowing the answers
- Not looking hard enough
- Not doing enough good
- Not being there for the needy
- Not being nice enough to love wholly
- Not accepting certain norms
- And just the idea of being alone
I feel defeated to have an idea which can be easily debunked by other tests or facts and history
I feel defeated when I think of injustice
- Paralyzed to fight for the right
- I cannot move
I often feel defeated knowing that I am afraid
- That I have fears that haunt me every night
- That I am restless in most days
- And defeated for the rest.

I know I
Shouldn’t be loved
- And yet I still keep asking for it
Should not be treated nicely
- Because I wouldn’t stay even if they would
Should not have this level of admiration
- Because I drop feelings without second motion
Should not be worthy
- But he keeps on fighting for what we have
- What we could have
- And what should be
- As far as his hopes and dreams could see.

Wow this article shows what F1 really was like before when hiring drivers. The caliber is so much higher than today’s. Ranking the Best and Worst Formula 1 Rookies in History

Wouldn’t it be nice if our Customer Service is very kind? Like we can include the suicide hotline or PSA in case someone needs someone to talk to. And even when dealing with bugs and errors, they feel a warm welcome.

HEARTS OF MALAYBALAY: Malaybalay, Home of Migrants
Reading this just made me miss home even more. And I miss the people, I miss how it was - muuli, magbaklay nga hubog not worrying lol. Everyone knew everybody. We cared for each other. We knew where to go and who to tap. Ahh what a beautiful piece. 🤍
Familiar family names made me smile, thinking “ba?” and “hala, inani gyapon ilang pamilya karon, nacarry over lagi ang legacy.. nice kaayo 😌” and “naa pa kaha ni inig uli nako?” and then checking Google Maps and, yada yada civilization and progress and chaos and commercialization “wala na diay” among others.
It’s like playing Stardew Valley, small town big heart ——and perhaps this is the push we needed to finally make that plan a reality. What dya think Mr. Biboy Asuncion Dagasuan? 🙃 Not to get ahead of ourselves, but can you imagine the RPG game already?
🎮
P.S. If we do decide to do this, it will take years!! And a lot of sacrifice haha. And it might not even happen. But it will be for the history and the people of Malaybalay and its old migrants who keeps the flame 🔥 alive.
P.P.S. Also very likely that I am feeling old 😂 and that it would be nice to show my younger siblings (who btw didn’t get the chance to explore and enjoy the town because of so many fears) and my niece and nephew who are in Manila—the beauty of our hometown and learn about our ancestors and their friends who helped make what it is today.

DonatethrowDon♾throw
(Do not throw, donate)
So in islands, stall where the tourists can donate stuff which will be housed in respective government buildings for example: foot of a mountain, or by the port.
Stuff limited to sporting goods only.
Ministry of Youth & Sports
- can spearhead
- Get it commissioned by the government so that all islands must at least have one
- What to do with proper tagging? Easy for fishing rods
- These will be items that can qualify as sport equipment in planes, since these are usually the ones being discarded - holiday items per se.

I have learned to let go of traditions, and of things that I thought was supposed to be followed, for laughters and for cheers, for the familiar and the seen, but
